Emergenza Update - March 24, 2008

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

TSB we will be performing in the second DC round of the Emergenza Festival at Jammin' Java on May 16th at 10:30 PM. Tickets are $18 at the door and $12 in advance. We really need all our peeps to come down and support us because groups advance based on audience vote. The final DC round will take place at the 9:30 Club in June. Three of the eight groups performing at Jammin' Java advance to the DC finals.

If you would like to get advance tickets, email me at ted@theslowburn.com.

Throw in an extra $5 and get your choice of a Slow Burn t-shirt or copy of our debut CD "Let's Do It!".

On Saturday, April 5th, me and the boys will be producing the Harmony Sweepstakes Mid-Atlantic Regional at The Birchmere. Then on Saturday, June 28th, we'll be returning to The Austin Grill in Silver Spring. Click on the Calendar link for more info on each of these events.

C ya!

TSB Rocked the Monkey! - February 8, 2008

Thanks to all of our friends who joined us a The Brass Monkey in Baltimore on Saturday, 2/2! Special shout outs to Tonya and John, and to Heather for bringing friends! And thanks to Hannah and her husband and friend for representing for B-More! We had a great night and hope to return there soon!

A fabulous night in Old Town! - December 9, 2007

We played the Austin Grill in Old Town on Friday and it was undoubtedly the best Slow Burn show ever! We had been doing a lot of rehearsing and learning of new songs, and we were really raring to show off. We arrived at the venue at around 9 and started setting up. The logistics and the PA were a bit tricky, but we finally got started a little after 10. The crowd immediately started grooving to the music. Some of our friends were there, including Tamara, Beth and Ian, but for the most part, it was just the local crowd enjoying the tunes. As our first set wore on, people started to dance, and by about 11, just about everybody was boogeying! We took a short break and hit again at midnight. A real highlight was the singalong for "Last Kiss". Thanks to everyone who helped to make it a special night, including Adam, who sat in on harp on for few tunes, the Texas girls and the staff at the AG! We hope to be back again soon!
